VR plug is a specialized device for repairing valves on a cross. If a valve requires repairs, the running and retrieving tool for VR plug shall be mounted inside the box of the cross body using a special tool so that the fluid in the annulus can be prevented from leaking. Then the valve waiting to be repaired can be dismantled.
